Honda Elevate V CVT at Rs 13.79 lakh is the cheapest way into the automatic
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
Honda has launched the 2026 Elevate facelift from Rs 11.80 lakh ex-showroom, and the CVT automatic starts at the V trim, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh ex-showroom. That makes the V CVT the base automatic in a range of 5 trims: SV, V, VX, ZX and ZX+. It is a simple car, and Honda has kept a few things off it.
Price and variants
The Elevate facelift starts at Rs 11.80 lakh ex-showroom. The CVT is not offered on the SV; you need the V trim, at Rs 13.79 lakh ex-showroom. Above it sit the VX, ZX and ZX+. Ex-showroom is not the on-road price, so insurance and registration are extra.
Engine and performance
Every Elevate uses the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 121 PS and 145 Nm. You can pick a 6-speed manual or the CVT, and paddle shifters come with the CVT. Rated fuel efficiency is 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT.
What the V CVT gets
Outside, it has a glossy black grille, projector headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs and 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. The Honda logo has moved from the grille to the bonnet. There is a shark fin antenna, a roof spoiler, a rear defogger and parking sensors. Inside, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control with physical buttons, rear AC vents, a tilt and telescopic steering, and a 6-way manual driver's seat. Safety and convenience items include traction control, an electronic parking brake, engine start/stop and ISOFIX mounts. Mirrors adjust electrically but fold manually, the rear seats split 60:40, and there are USB Type-C and Type-A ports plus a 12V outlet.
What it leaves out
The V CVT has no sunroof, no roof rails and no fog lamps, though the housings for the fog lamps are present. The light strip across the rear is a design element only and is not lit; higher trims get a lit full-width strip. Boot space is 458 litres, with no boot light.
What it means for buyers
If you want an automatic and plan to spend as little as possible, this is the entry point at Rs 13.79 lakh. You pay Rs 1.99 lakh more than the starting price of the range, and for that you get the CVT with paddle shifters and the better rated efficiency. Check whether the missing sunroof and fog lamps matter to you before you step up to the VX or higher.
