Mahindra XUV 7XO prices hiked by up to Rs. 20,000 on 2WD variants

Mahindra has raised the prices of the XUV 7XO 2WD variants by up to Rs. 20,000 (ex-showroom). The biggest increase is on the AX7 diesel MT 2WD, which now costs Rs. 19,80,000. AWD variant prices are unchanged.

Price and variants

The range now runs from Rs. 13.99 lakh to Rs. 25.79 lakh ex-showroom. The base AX2 petrol 2WD stays at Rs. 13.99 lakh, and the top AX7L AWD AT stays at Rs. 25,79,000, so both ends of the range are untouched. The changes are in between, on the 2WD variants.

Engine and performance

The XUV 7XO is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine making 200bhp and 380Nm. The diesel is a 2.2-litre unit making 182bhp and 450Nm, available in 2WD and AWD form. The hike changes only the price of the 2WD variants, not the engines or their output.

Features

The features listed for the XUV 7XO include a 540° camera, triple screens, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and electric Boss Mode. Mahindra has not said that any of these have changed with the new prices.

What it means for buyers

The increases are small next to the price of the car: Rs. 8,000 on the AX3 petrol MT is the lowest, and Rs. 20,000 on the AX7 diesel MT is the highest. Still, if you are choosing a 2WD variant, check the on-road quote again before you book, as the earlier figures no longer apply. Buyers who want the AWD variants are not affected, since those prices have not moved.
