Maruti Ertiga prices revised by Rs. 10,000 with immediate effect

Maruti has revised the Ertiga's price by Rs. 10,000, effective immediately. The increase applies only to the ZXi+ petrol MT smart hybrid and ZXi+ petrol AT smart hybrid variants, and every other variant is unchanged.

Price and variants

The Ertiga's ex-showroom range remains Rs. 8.90 lakh to Rs. 13.14 lakh. The Ertiga comes in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ variants, and a CNG version is also offered. Only the two ZXi+ smart hybrid variants, petrol manual and petrol automatic, carry the Rs. 10,000 increase. On-road prices are Rs. 10.12 lakh in Delhi, Rs. 10.38 lakh in Mumbai and Rs. 10.67 lakh in Bangalore.

Engine and performance

The Ertiga runs on a 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine. It is offered with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter automatic. The price revision does not change the engine or the gearbox options.

Other Maruti revisions

The Ertiga is not the first Maruti model to see a revision. The Fronx and XL6 received price revisions earlier.

What it means for buyers

A Rs. 10,000 increase is small against a car of this price, and it touches only the top ZXi+ trim in its petrol manual and automatic smart hybrid forms. If you are buying a lower variant, the price you were quoted still stands. If you were planning on the ZXi+, expect the quote to be Rs. 10,000 higher from today, and confirm the figure with your dealer before you pay the booking amount.
