The question that actually matters is whether to wait, and the answer depends less on the new car than on what waiting costs you:

- A facelift usually brings cosmetic and feature changes rather than mechanical ones. If you like the current car, the outgoing version often becomes the better buy once discounts appear on it. - New variants slotted into an existing range tend to reprice the variants around them. Sometimes the one you wanted gets cheaper; sometimes it quietly disappears. - Waiting through a price revision can wipe out the discount you were offered. With increases already announced for August, that risk is real this month.

A practical way to decide: get the on-road quote you would accept today in writing, then ask yourself whether the new model would have to be meaningfully better to justify losing it. Usually it would not.
