MG Windsor Indulge priced at ₹18 lakh, limited to 300 units
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
The MG Windsor Indulge is a limited edition of the Windsor EV, capped at 300 units and priced at ₹18 lakh. It is available only with the 38kWh battery pack and adds a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and a dual-tone Shadow Gold finish.
Price and variants
The Indulge costs ₹18 lakh. That is ₹1.5 lakh over the Essence Pro variant and ₹3.36 lakh over the equivalent 38kWh Essence variant. Only 300 units will be made, and it comes only with the 38kWh battery. The listing prints the figure as ₹18 lakh without saying whether it is ex-showroom, so check that with the dealer.
Engine and performance
A front-wheel-drive motor produces 134bhp and 200Nm, powered by the 38kWh battery. The claimed range is 322 km. In a real-world test the car returned 264 km, which is 80 per cent of the claimed range.
Features and look
The exterior is Shadow Gold dual-tone paint with a black roof, wheels and ORVMs. Inside, the cabin is Urban Tan with black cab trim. The main addition is a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen (Prive). Other touches:
- Embossed cushions and neck pillows
- 3D floor mats
- Rear window sunshade
- Leather key cover
What it means for buyers
The Indulge is an equipment and looks package on the same 38kWh powertrain, so range and performance do not change. You are paying ₹1.5 lakh over the Essence Pro for the rear screen and the trim, and only 300 buyers will get one. The Windsor itself sells between 3000-4000 units every month, so the Indulge is a small slice of a popular model.
