Another uncamouflaged electric SUV has been spotted moving on a flatbed trailer in India, raising questions about a near-term entry. This China-spec Chery iCAUR 03 is widely expected to reach showrooms under the JSW Motors nameplate to take on mid-size electric options.

This 5-seat electric SUV measures 4,406mm in length, 1,910mm in width, and 1,715mm in height, sitting on a 2,715mm wheelbase with 195mm of ground clearance. The China-spec variant relies on a 69.8kWh LFP battery pack paired with a dual-motor setup delivering 279hp and 385Nm with standard AWD.

While the test unit spotted locally wore a simple look with a black front bumper and dual-tone alloys, patent filings show beefier body cladding and rugged bumpers. Inside, the China-spec model packs a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, ventilated rear seats, level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.

JSW Motors upcoming lineup in India

JSW Motors is actively testing multiple Chery-backed models on domestic roads, including the Jetour T2, Chery iCar V23, and Jaecoo J5. Among these, the Jetour T2 is lined up to reach the market first by the end of this year, followed later by the Jaecoo J5, iCar V23, and potentially the iCAUR 03 as a rival to vehicles like the Tata Harrier EV.
