Tata Punch EV price hike: new variants and range
The Tata Punch EV has become costlier by Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 across its six variants. That matters if you are considering one this month, because the higher-capacity versions have taken the bigger increase while the car itself gets no stated mechanical changes.
What the Punch EV variants cost
The 30 kWh Smart and Smart+ variants have gone up by Rs 10,000, while the 40 kWh Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ S variants are Rs 20,000 more expensive. The Smart+ is the only trim offered with both battery options.

Punch EV range and charging
The 30 kWh versions use an 88 PS electric motor and have a certified range of 365 to 375 km. The 40 kWh versions use a 130 PS motor and have a certified range of 468 km. Published C75 calculations put the more realistic range at 260 to 275 km for the smaller battery and around 335 to 355 km for the larger one.
Both battery options support City and Sport modes, with Eco added to the 40 kWh versions. A 65 kW DC charger can take either battery from 20% to 80% in about 26 minutes, while 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC charging are also supported.
