Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro Price and Features in India

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG G 63 Offroad Pro in India at Rs 3.80 crore ex-showroom, making it Rs 6 lakh costlier than the standard AMG G 63. For buyers looking at the G 63 specifically for off-road use, the new trim adds dedicated hardware rather than changing the core powertrain.

G 63 Offroad Pro gets active ride control

The Offroad Pro adds active ride control suspension with active roll stabilisation and active balance control. The latter allows the roll stiffness to be adjusted across three stages depending on the off-road conditions.

It also gets a traction pro mode within the Rock and Sand modes. The system can control braking torque at each wheel individually and offers seven stages of locking, giving the driver more control when traction becomes difficult.

Roof rack and rear ladder included

The practical additions are quite visible too. Mercedes has fitted a roof luggage rack with aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder, while the Offroad Pro rides on exclusive 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in matte black.

The cabin retains the G 63's 12.3-inch digital driver's display and 12.3-inch touchscreen with the MBUX NTG7 system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, USB-C ports, augmented reality navigation and an 18-speaker, 760W Burmester 3D surround sound system are also included.

G 63 keeps the 585hp V8

Power comes from the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the standard AMG G 63. It produces 585hp and 850Nm, with a 22hp 48V mild-hybrid system, all-wheel drive and a claimed 0-100kph time of 4.4 seconds.

For off-road driving, the displays can show vehicle position, compass, altitude, steering angle, tyre pressure and temperature, along with differential-lock status. A transparent bonnet function provides a view of the area underneath the SUV. Safety equipment includes active brake assist, lane-keeping assist and a 360-degree camera.
