BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition price launch and variants

BYD has introduced a limited run of the Sealion 7 SUV for the festive season, landing right above the mid-spec Premium trim. The Festive Edition is priced at Rs 50.60 lakh ex-showroom, which is Rs 70,000 more than the standard Premium. Only 150 units are being offered, so this is a short-lived colour and trim mix rather than a permanent new variant.

Festive Edition price and availability

The ex-showroom price puts it at Rs 50.60 lakh, sitting between the Premium at Rs 49.90 lakh and the Performance at Rs 55.90 lakh. On the road, expect Mumbai to land around Rs 44.14 lakh to Rs 58.80 lakh while Bangalore runs higher at Rs 48.87 lakh to Rs 65.09 lakh. With only 150 units on offer, availability will depend on dealer stock rather than a long waiting period.

What the tan and black interior adds

There are no exterior changes to separate this from the other variants, so the value comes entirely from the cabin. The tan-and-black theme covers the dashboard, door cards, seats and centre console area. You also get the usual tech stack including the 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver’s display and a panoramic glass roof.

Powertrain range and charging

Since it is built on the Premium trim, the Festive Edition carries the same 82.56kWh battery pack and rear electric motor. The output is 313hp and 380Nm, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 6.7 seconds. BYD claims a range of 567km on the NEDC cycle, though published spec tables also list 542 km per charge. Fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes about 24 minutes at up to 230kW.

The full range includes the Dynamic at Rs 41.90 lakh, the Premium at Rs 49.90 lakh, this Festive Edition at Rs 50.60 lakh and the Performance at Rs 55.90 lakh. Colours available include Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Gray, Shark Gray and Cosmic Black.
