Mahindra Vision S Launch Date and Interior Details Spied
Mahindra Vision S is getting closer to its production form, with test vehicles now revealing more of the cabin and exterior. For buyers considering a sub-4m SUV, the interesting part is that this is shaping up as a production model for 2027 rather than just another concept exercise.
Mahindra Vision S exterior details
The Vision S keeps the boxy, tall SUV shape seen on the concept, with a design that should give it a fairly upright stance on the road. Current test vehicles still use temporary round LED headlights borrowed from the Thar Roxx, while earlier sightings showed inverted-L-shaped headlights closer to the concept design.
Flush door handles, large wheels, a large glass area and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel are also visible. The illuminated grille shown on the concept is less likely to appear on the production vehicle.
Vision S interior gets two screens
The cabin follows the basic layout shown on the concept, with two horizontal screens on the dashboard, likely measuring 10.25 inches each. Vertical AC vents sit between them, while the test vehicle uses a temporary steering wheel shared with the BE 6.
The production cabin is expected to receive a dedicated steering wheel and a cleaner infotainment integration. The test mule also uses a Thar-style climate control panel, while the centre console has a gear selector and electronic parking brake. Wireless charging, cup holders and an engine start/stop switch are expected as part of the final layout.
NU_IQ platform and powertrain plans
Mahindra is developing the Vision S on its NU_IQ platform as a monocoque SUV. The planned powertrain approach is broader than a conventional petrol-only sub-4m SUV:
