MG Windsor Indulge Edition leaked features and price hike

MG Windsor Indulge Edition leaked features and price hike

MG Windsor EV has crossed 80,000 sales in India and was the fourth best selling electric car in September 2026 with 3,300 units. Now a new limited edition called Indulge is leaking online before the official launch expected soon. It looks like a cosmetic and comfort focused update rather than a mechanical one.

What changes on the outside

The biggest visual shift is a new gold inspired colour called Shadow Gold. You will also see 18 inch alloy wheels in a blacked out finish instead of the standard ones. There is exclusive Indulge badging on the rear quarter glass and possibly the front too.

Rear screen and interior tone

Inside the theme stays black and ivory but the leatherette seats get an Urban Tan and Black dual tone. The standout addition is a roof mounted flip down screen for rear passengers called the Prive Screen by MG Motor. They are also adding neck cushions for the front row and pillows for rear users.

Specs and expected price

Nothing changes under the skin with the same 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh battery packs offering 332 km and 449 km range. The 136 hp motor stays the same across all variants including Excite Ev, Exclusive Ev, Essence Ev, Exclusive Pro Ev and Essence Pro Ev. Key features like a 15.6 inch touchscreen, Infinity audio and 256 colour ambient lighting remain largely the same. The standard Windsor EV is priced around ₹14.95 lakh to ₹19.72 lakh ex showroom so this special edition should land slightly higher. On road estimates for the entry price sit around ₹16.74 lakh in Delhi and ₹17.79 lakh in Karnataka. Safety kit includes 6 airbags and Level 2 ADAS with V2L charging.

For those already waiting on a Windsor, does the extra cost for the Prive screen justify waiting, or is the standard version better value?
