BMW F 450 R India launch date and expected price details

BMW Motorrad has revealed the F 450 R, a new naked motorcycle based on the same platform as the F 450 GS. It effectively becomes the brand’s entry-level Roadster after the G 310 R, and Indian buyers looking at a mid-capacity BMW will now have another model to watch.

BMW F 450 R engine and chassis

The F 450 R uses the same 420cc parallel-twin and chassis as the F 450 GS, but the engine has been tuned for road use. BMW says 80 percent of peak torque is available from 3,000rpm, while the stated output is 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm.

The bike weighs 175kg, which is 3kg lighter than the GS. It uses a tubular steel frame, 43mm KYB USD fork and KYB monoshock, along with a 310mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston monobloc caliper and a 240mm rear disc.

What does the BMW F 450 R get?

The standard seat height is 790mm, with 775mm low and 810mm high seat options available as accessories. A 6.5-inch TFT with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and music control is standard.

BMW F 450 R India launch date
