Denza Z9 GT India launch and expected price details

Denza is preparing to enter India with the Z9 GT electric fastback and the D9 luxury MPV, with the brand positioned above BYD. For buyers considering a high-end EV, the Z9 GT stands out for its performance figures, while the D9 is aimed at the luxury MPV market.

Denza Z9 GT India launch details

The Z9 GT will come to India only as an EV and is expected to be sold as a completely built-up unit. The expected Indian price is around Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 1.5 crore, putting it firmly in the premium luxury-car space.

Its three electric motors produce 1,156hp, with 0-100kph claimed at 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 270kph. The 122.5kWh battery has a claimed 600km WLTP range.

The charging setup is another major point to watch, although actual Indian charging conditions will matter more to owners. The company says its 1,500kW Flash charging system can take the battery from 10 to 97 percent in nine minutes.

Denza D9 targets the luxury MPV buyer

The D9 will also arrive as an EV, but with front-wheel drive, and is expected to cost around Rs 80 lakh. It gets 313hp and 360Nm, a 103kWh battery and a claimed 520km WLTP range, with DC charging up to 200kW.

The 2+2+3 cabin layout includes powered, heated, ventilated and massaging captain seats. Three-zone climate control, Dynaudio audio and leather upholstery are also part of the package.

Denza showroom plan for India

Denza is expected to use exclusive showrooms rather than sharing BYD outlets. The initial network is likely to be limited to Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, which will be important for buyers outside those markets when it comes to access and after-sales support.
