Omega Seiki Mobility Accessible EV Development Begins in India

Omega Seiki Mobility has started developing an electric vehicle specifically for persons with disabilities, with easier access, safety and everyday usability as the focus. For Indian buyers and families looking for more independent mobility, the important point is that this is still an early-stage project, not a vehicle ready for purchase.

What type of EV will OSM build?

Omega Seiki Mobility has not yet confirmed whether the new vehicle will be a two-wheeler, three-wheeler or four-wheeler. There is also no confirmed battery capacity, range, seating layout, production location, price or commercial launch date.

That makes the vehicle difficult to compare with existing EVs right now. The next useful update will be when OSM shows a working prototype and explains the platform it is using.

Accessibility features are not confirmed

The company says the development will focus on practical requirements, but individual features have not been confirmed. Possible requirements being considered include:

The company already works across electric commercial mobility and has electric cargo and passenger three-wheelers, including the Rage+ cargo range and Stream passenger models. Its website also lists two-wheeler and four-wheeler divisions, although OSM has not confirmed that this new project will use any existing platform.

Price and launch date are still open

There is currently no announced price or commercial launch timeline for the accessible EV. OSM has confirmed the development initiative, announced on September 17, 2026, but not when a prototype or production vehicle will arrive.

For potential buyers, the key things to watch are wheelchair compatibility, independent driving options, safety and homologation, service support and whether different adaptations will be available. Affordability will also decide how useful the product becomes beyond the concept stage.
