A while ago, I was helping a friend buy a car.

Like most people, we did everything you're supposed to do.

Watched hours of YouTube reviews.

Read Reddit discussions.

Scrolled through Instagram.

Visited multiple dealerships.

We thought we had done enough research.

But after buying the car, we discovered that the information which actually mattered was nowhere to be found.

The dealer insisted certain accessories were "mandatory."

A nearby dealership was offering a much better discount, but we found out too late.

The first service bill was much higher than expected.

Later, we found genuine spare parts for much less than what the dealership had quoted.

That's when it hit me.

Car prices are public. Ownership experience isn't.

The internet has thousands of reviews about performance, features, mileage and design.

But very few people talk about things like:

What they actually paid.

Which dealer treated them well.

What their service bills looked like.

Which local mechanic they trust.

Where they found genuine spare parts at a fair price.

Those are the things that affect your ownership experience the most, yet they're the hardest to find before making a purchase.

That frustration is what inspired me to start building a small community where people can share these real-world experiences in one place.

I'm not posting this to promote anything. I'm genuinely curious whether others have felt the same gap while buying or owning a vehicle.
