Simple OneS discontinued as Wave takes over its buyer segment

Simple Energy has discontinued the OneS electric scooter and is moving that part of its range to the Wave family. For anyone considering a OneS, the important point is that existing owners are still covered for service, warranty and spare parts, while new buyers are being directed towards the newer Wave range.

Simple OneS gets phased out

The OneS was introduced as the more accessible model in Simple Energy's Gen 2 lineup, positioned below the One and Ultra. It used a 3.7kWh battery with a claimed 190km IDC range, while the company says the decision to discontinue it is about consolidating the portfolio around the Wave.

Simple Energy says the Wave is designed for the same segment, particularly buyers looking for a practical everyday scooter. The company also says its market research found that customers in this price band would naturally move towards the Wave.

Wave starts at Rs 1.10 lakh

The Wave range now covers a wider spread than the discontinued OneS. The base Wave S 2.2 starts at Rs 1.10 lakh, while the Wave+ goes up to Rs 1.90 lakh. There are six variants in total, giving buyers more battery and feature choices across the range.

What happens to OneS owners?
