Toyota Camry price hike takes it closer to ₹49 lakh

Toyota Camry buyers now have to pay more for the hybrid sedan, with prices rising by ₹1.21 lakh to ₹1.27 lakh depending on the version. The increase affects both the Camry Elegant and Sprint Edition, but Toyota has not added any mechanical, feature or design updates with the revision.

The dual-tone versions now cost ₹48.69 lakh ex-showroom, up from ₹47.48 lakh. Platinum White Pearl versions are priced at ₹48.89 lakh, compared with ₹47.62 lakh earlier. That makes the higher increase ₹1.27 lakh, or roughly 2.7 percent.

The current Camry variants listed are Elegant and Sprint Edition, with the Sprint mainly adding cosmetic changes such as a matte-black bonnet, roof and boot treatment, black alloy wheels and a dedicated exterior kit.

Camry hybrid and equipment

The Camry continues with a 2.5-litre petrol-electric strong-hybrid setup and e-CVT automatic. The published specification lists 227 bhp and 221 Nm, while the claimed fuel efficiency is 25.49 kmpl.

Toyota also continues to offer three-zone climate control, head-up display, electric sunroof, powered rear seats and rear and side-window sunshades. The safety package includes Toyota Safety Sense ADAS and electronic stability control.

Camry on-road prices and owner rating

The published on-road figures show how much the Camry can cost once registration and insurance are included. Mumbai is listed at ₹57.93 lakh, while Hyderabad is ₹60.14 lakh and Bangalore is ₹61.09 lakh.

Our figure from 360 owner ratings puts the Camry at 3.9/5. For someone shopping in this price bracket, the key question is whether the spacious rear seat, equipment and claimed 25.49 kmpl efficiency still justify paying more when there have been no corresponding updates.
