Mahindra SUV spy shots Thar EV Scorpio N FL Vision S 3XO CNG

A fresh fleet of Mahindra test mules has been spotted testing together and it covers more than just one model. This matters most to anyone already waiting on a CNG SUV or eyeing the next electric Thar.
XUV3XO CNG launch timing and engine
The most concrete news here is the XUV3XO CNG. Mahindra has not had a CNG car in the passenger vehicle range since the KUV100 Trip was discontinued, so this fills a gap against Tata, Maruti, Hyundai and Kia. The launch is set for 15th October and it will use a factory fitted CNG kit rather than a dealer fitment.
Expectations point to the REVX version getting the closed-off grille treatment. The lower-spec Turbo MPFI engine is the likely candidate for CNG compliance, which could mean strong torque figures for the segment when running on gas. This will be the company's most affordable CNG offering.
Vision S and Scorpio Sport speculation
There is a strong possibility the Vision S concept is spawning a sub 4m Scorpio, possibly called Scorpio Sport. Production versions are expected to launch in 2027 with a multi-energy approach.
- Rear independent suspension likely
- Petrol diesel EV and flex fuel options
- New dashboard and tall-boy design
- Launch expected in 2027
Thar ROXX and EV roadmap updates
The Thar ROXX mules appear to be testing DaVinci dampers, the same tech found in the Thar OG and XUV7XO. A launch is likely soon for this update.
Further down the roadmap, the Vision T concept is linked to a fully electric Thar ROXX. Testing has just commenced and it will come in a 5-door avatar, so do not expect it immediately.
Scorpio N facelift design hints
The Scorpio N facelift is also in the mix with design inspiration taken from the Lifestyler pickup. A portrait-style infotainment screen is expected to join the larger screen and panoramic sunroof already added in August.
Are you holding out for the CNG 3XO or waiting for the electric Thar?
