Ultraviolette aims for 3 lakh unit capacity by mid-2027

Ultraviolette is targeting a combined annual manufacturing capacity of around 3 lakh units by mid-2027, according to co-founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam. The planned expansion is centred on a new facility in Hosur, alongside an upgrade to the company’s existing Bengaluru plant.

Two factories, one target

The new BIGGA Factory in Hosur is planned to contribute 2.5 lakh units of annual capacity. Ultraviolette is also upgrading its existing Bengaluru facility, with that plant expected to add around 50,000 units of annual capacity.

Together, the two facilities are intended to give Ultraviolette a combined annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 3 lakh units by mid-2027. The announcement is about manufacturing capacity rather than the launch of a new vehicle.

What this means for the product range

Ultraviolette has not announced which models will be manufactured at the BIGGA Factory. It is therefore not clear whether the Hosur facility will produce the F77 or support an entirely new lineup.
