Ducati Diavel V4 S India launch date and expected changes

Ducati’s Diavel V4 S has now appeared in the 2027 model-year certification documents, making it a much more concrete prospect for buyers considering the Diavel range. The bike is not officially revealed yet, but the certification points to a new S variant rather than another special-edition Diavel.

Diavel V4 S could debut in 2027

The Diavel V4 S was added to Ducati’s 2027 certification after an updated executive order signed by CARB on August 26. The original filing from March listed the standard Diavel V4, Diavel V4 Bentley and the limited-run Diavel V4 Bentley Mulliner.

Ducati has not announced the S officially yet. It could be unveiled during the company’s upcoming 2027 World Première presentations, so buyers looking at the Diavel range have another variant to keep an eye on.

Expected Diavel V4 S changes

The design registrations linked to the Diavel V4 S point to hardware and styling changes over the standard motorcycle. The expected additions include:

• Skyhook electronic suspension
• Revised radiator shrouds
• Updated air intakes
• Different wheels and exhaust system

The suspension system is also expected to bring changes to the ride modes so the electronics can work with Skyhook. Other electronic updates have not been detailed yet, so there is no reason to assume features that Ducati has not confirmed.

What engine will the S use?

The 2027 Diavel V4 S is expected to retain the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine used by the current Diavel V4. That engine is rated at a claimed 168hp at 10,750rpm and 126Nm at 7,500rpm.

For now, these engine figures should be treated as expectations for the S rather than confirmed specifications for the upcoming variant. Ducati has also not revealed its price, India launch timing or full equipment list.
