Toyota has released the first official teasers for the Glanza facelift ahead of its October 14 launch. The facelift is not yet on sale, but the revised front end and expected feature list are worth knowing before you walk into a showroom.
Revised front design and styling
The close-up shots reveal a prominent grille surround with black mesh detailing and contrasting bumper elements. A thick silver-finished border frames a black honeycomb grille, separated from the lower trim by a red body-coloured strip. Toyota has kept the headlamp shape under wraps, so the full proportions remain for a later reveal.
Features expected to follow Baleno
Equipment is expected to mirror the Baleno facelift update. This could include ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad with active cooling and Clarion speakers. Level 2 ADAS is another major addition that would expand the equipment list considerably.
- Ventilated front seats likely added
- Wireless charging with active cooling
- Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise
- Clarion audio system upgrade
The cabin layout is expected to stay the same, with Toyota-specific upholstery and trim choices helping distinguish it from the new Baleno.
New engine and CNG option
The outgoing four-cylinder petrol unit is expected to be replaced by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine. This matches what is seen in the Swift, Dzire and updated Baleno, with improved fuel efficiency as a key benefit. Transmission choices likely remain a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT.
A factory-fitted CNG option is also expected to be on offer, including CNG with AMT, catering to buyers prioritising lower running costs over outright price.
What current owners report
The current Glanza holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating from 925 owners pooled across public listings. That score covers the existing petrol and CNG variants which come in Manual and AMT transmissions. Published safety specs list driver, passenger and side front airbags on the current model.
