Tata Nexon EV 2027 spy shots underbody battery pack details
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
Tata Motors’ next-generation Nexon EV was spotted on a flatbed truck, the first clear look at the electric prototype after earlier sightings of its ICE version. The vehicle was heavily camouflaged but the raised angle exposed the underbody, showing a battery enclosure and orange high‑voltage cables. This gives prospective buyers a glimpse of what the 2027 model might bring.
What the spy shots reveal
The spy images show the battery enclosure running beneath the floor, with bright orange cables visible near the front axle just behind the front wheel. Outside, the prototype wears a flatter roofline and a more upright tailgate, moving away from the coupe‑like rear of the current model. Front doors, outside mirrors and pronounced wheel arches are visible under the patterned wrap, and the car retains conventional pull‑type door handles. Five‑spoke wheels are seen, while fabric covers hide the rear doors, roof and much of the tailgate.
How it lines up with today’s Nexon EV
The present Nexon EV has been on sale since September 2023 and is offered with a 30 kWh or a 45 kWh battery pack. The smaller unit delivers about 127 bhp and a claimed range of 325 km, while the larger gives around 143 bhp and up to 489 km on a charge. Both variants support fast charging and share a five‑seat layout with six airbags. Owner feedback aggregates to a 4.3 out of 5 rating based on roughly 900 reviews. The model is sold in several trims such as Creative Plus MR, Fearless MR, Creative 45, Fearless 45, Empowered 45 and the higher‑spec Empowered Plus A 45 variants, each distinguished by equipment levels and styling cues.
