TVS Raider 125 gets dual ABS and traction control update

TVS Motor has rolled out another set of updates for the Raider 125 ahead of the festive season to draw buyers into showrooms. This tech-loaded commuter gets safety upgrades and aesthetic changes while carrying a slight price revision to roughly Rs 1.04 lakh ex-showroom depending on the variant, which is about Rs 4,000 higher than before.

Dual ABS and traction control additions

The prominent updates reaching dealership floors include a dual-channel ABS system along with a switchable traction control system. These additions aim to improve rider confidence during braking, offering features that remain uncommon in the 125cc segment.

Variant spread and color choices

The motorcycle continues to be offered in trims like Drum, Single Seat, Igo, Split Seat, Sse, Sxc Dd, and Tft Dd. Buyers can choose from a wide paint palette including Wicked Black, Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Mercury Grey, Spectral Green, Wolverine, Deadpool, Iron Man, Black Panther, Nardo Grey, and Nitro Green.

Tyre and mechanical specifications

The updated model brings specific functional revisions alongside its familiar mechanical setup.

• Fatter rear tyre now uses a 120-section unit up from the previous 110-section setup
• Rear petal disc brake upgraded to a larger conventional disc
• USB Type-C port added for device charging during rides
• Mechanical setup retains the 124.8 cc air and oil cooled 3V engine producing 11.2 bhp and 11 Nm
• ARAI claimed mileage stands at 56.7 kmpl with a 10-litre fuel tank capacity
