Now they're talking E25 and flex fuel — should I even buy petrol in 2026?

Just when i got my head around E20, news is full of E25 and flex-fuel talk. Dealer had no clear answer when i asked if my shortlisted car is future proof. Feels like a communication mess. Half tempted to just go EV where atleast the direction is clear. Are we overthinking or is petrol genuinely a risky long-term buy right now for a 7-8 year keeper?
