River Indie now bookable on Flipkart ahead of Big Billion Days
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
River Mobility has listed the Indie electric scooter on Flipkart ahead of the Big Billion Days sale. This makes the first step of buying an EV easier, but you still need to visit a showroom to complete the purchase. It affects anyone currently comparing electric scooters in the premium commuter segment.
How the online booking route works
You can now explore the scooter details and place a booking through the dedicated River Flipkart brand store. Once booked, the request is transferred to the nearest River dealership, which handles the final paperwork and delivery. River currently operates more than 80 stores across 48 cities, so availability depends on your region. The online availability will expand further as River enters new regional markets and opens more outlets. This hybrid e-commerce model is already used by Royal Enfield, Bajaj Auto, Suzuki, Yezdi, Ather and Vida.
What the Gen 3 update changes
The Indie received a comprehensive Gen 3 update in October 2025. River fine-tuned the riding dynamics based on direct customer feedback and added hill-hold assist. The chassis was redesigned to reduce weight, and the instrument display got a fresh look with better smartphone connectivity.
