Royal Enfield September Sales Cross 1.33 Lakh Units
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
Royal Enfield sold 1,33,958 motorcycles in September 2026, up 7.75% from the same month last year. For buyers, the interesting part is where that growth came from: the below-350cc range is doing the heavy lifting, while the larger bikes have moved sharply in the opposite direction.
350cc Models Drive September Growth
The below-350cc range, covering the Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor, reached 1,21,495 units in September. That is a 13.04% increase over September 2025 and also 7.38% higher than August.
- Classic 350, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor sit in the below-350cc group
- Below-350cc sales reached 1,21,495 units
- The category accounted for about 90.70% of monthly sales
- Domestic sales reached 1,21,326 units
Above 350cc Sales Drop 26%
The bigger motorcycles had a much weaker month. Royal Enfield sold 12,463 units above 350cc, down 26.04% from 16,850 units in September 2025. This category includes the Himalayan, Scram, Guerrilla, 650 Twins, Shotgun and Super Meteor ranges.
The decline was also visible month on month, with above-350cc sales falling 6.55% from 13,336 units in August. That makes the contrast with the strong 350cc numbers quite clear.
Half Year Sales Cross 7 Lakh
From April to September 2026, Royal Enfield sold 7,09,096 units, up 19.80% from 5,91,903 units in the same period last year. Domestic sales rose 23.11% to 6,42,021 units, while exports were down 4.75% to 67,075 units.
The July to September quarter was also stronger, with total sales reaching 3,78,669 units, a 16.02% increase year on year. Below-350cc sales for the first half were up 24.47%, while above-350cc volumes fell 9.12%.
Honda And Bajaj Triumph Add Pressure
Royal Enfield's core 350cc range is also facing renewed competition. Honda has updated its CB350 range, while the Bajaj-Triumph partnership is preparing a smaller Bonneville. With the 350cc segment already accounting for most of Royal Enfield's sales, these upcoming products could make this part of the market more competitive.
Are you seeing stronger interest in Royal Enfield 350cc bikes compared with its larger models among buyers around you?
