Aston Martin DBX GT launch: What changes from the DBX S
Illustration generated by Turbo Truth.
Aston Martin has added the DBX GT as a new luxury-focused version of its SUV line-up, sitting alongside the sportier DBX S. For buyers looking at the DBX as a high-end luxury SUV, the GT is aimed more at comfort while retaining the same headline performance as the DBX S.
DBX GT power and performance
The DBX GT uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the DBX S, producing 727hp and 900Nm. Power goes through a 9-speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 310kph.
The changes are mainly aimed at making the SUV easier to live with. The throttle and gearbox have been retuned for smoother operation, while the suspension has been revised for a more pliant ride over poor surfaces. Additional dampers between the body and rear sub-frame are also used to control movement.
DBX GT exterior changes
The DBX GT gets a cleaner exterior treatment compared with the DBX S. The front bumper is body-coloured, the grille uses horizontal slats instead of mesh, and the red accents of the DBX S are absent.
- 22-inch alloy wheels are standard
- 23-inch alloy wheels are optional
- Satin-silver side strakes are fitted
- Body-coloured side sills and rear diffuser
- New horizontally aligned quad exhaust tips
DBX GT cabin and comfort features
Inside, the overall layout remains familiar, but Aston Martin has focused on making the cabin more luxurious. The seats get new leather upholstery and slightly thicker memory-foam cushions, while anodised metal is used around the drive mode selector and rotary controls. Deep-pile carpets are also available as part of the interior treatment.
Sound insulation and window lamination have been upgraded to reduce outside noise. A fixed panoramic glass roof is standard, while buyers can choose from a wide range of interior colours and upholstery combinations.
DBX GT deliveries start in Q4 2026 across global markets, so Indian buyers will need to wait for local availability and pricing details.
Would you choose the comfort-focused DBX GT over the sportier DBX S?
