2026 Mahindra Thar Facelift Teased; Pricing Could Be the Key Number to Watch

Mahindra has started teasing the updated three-door Thar, which is expected to launch on September 22. The current three-door Thar is priced at around ₹10.32 lakh to ₹18 lakh, ex-showroom, and the facelift is expected to move higher once the updated model is launched. The 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift is expected to be priced higher, with an estimated ex-showroom range of around ₹11 lakh to ₹18.50 lakh. The current model's dimensions and engine outputs remain unchanged, but the facelift is expected to bring design revisions and feature additions. The exact specifications of the facelifted model are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to continue with the current powertrain options, including a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The facelift's value will depend more on design, features, pricing, and variant packaging than on mechanical changes.
