Vega Helmets factory visit: Lightweight from a heavyweight

Vega Helmets, one of India's biggest motorcycle helmet manufacturers, has a factory in Belagavi, Karnataka, where they produce 25,000 helmets a day. The company has an annual capacity of 9 million helmets across six manufacturing facilities. The Vega Helmets factory visit revealed how the company's new carbon-fibre lid is made. The latest MX Carbon helmet uses new materials, which have raised the price to Rs 20,000, compared to its predecessor. The Axor MX Carbon helmet is certified to DOT, ISI and ECE 22 06 standards, is available in three different shell sizes and weighs 1,040g, plus or minus 50g, based on the shell size. The helmet has a double D-ring closure system and a softer and more comfortable inner liner material.
