Nissan Pixo EV launch details: 259 km range and 50 kW charging

Nissan has unveiled the new Pixo EV for European cities, with deliveries planned from early 2027. For Indian buyers, the interesting part is the compact size, 259 km claimed range and a practical cabin, although Nissan has not yet announced Indian availability or pricing.

Nissan Pixo EV size and boot space

The Pixo is 3,796 mm long and 1,790 mm wide, with seating for four. Its rear seats can slide independently, so owners can change the balance between passenger space and luggage room.

The boot holds 356 litres with the rear seats up. There is also a 50-litre compartment for charging cables, while another 18 litres of storage is spread around the cabin.

259 km range and 50 kW DC charging

The Pixo uses a 60 kW electric motor and an LFP battery, which is Nissan's first use of this battery chemistry in one of its European vehicles. The claimed range is 259 km, while AC charging is supported at up to 11 kW.

The standard DC system is rated at 50 kW and can charge the battery from 15 to 80 per cent in 28 minutes. That makes the charging setup one of the key figures to watch if this car is eventually considered for other markets.

Nissan Pixo features and driver assistance

The cabin gets a 7-inch driver display and a 10-inch touchscreen with Google built-in and Gemini voice assistance. Gemini will support 16 languages and dialects at launch, while Face ID can load personalised driver settings.

The Pixo also has a 9.9-metre turning circle, which Nissan says is intended to help in tight streets and parking spaces. The MyNissan app provides remote access to charging and vehicle functions.

Pixo deliveries start in early 2027

Customer deliveries in Europe are scheduled to begin in early 2027. Nissan plans to announce pricing, market-specific specifications and pre-order details from December, so there is currently no confirmed India launch date or Indian price to consider.

The Pixo will be manufactured by Renault at its Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia. It also gets cube-inspired proportions, pixel-style lighting and 23 visual Easter eggs, with Wonder Purple and Gear Blue among the confirmed colours.
