Renault Kwid 2027 Facelift Revealed in Brazil What to Expect in India
The 2027 Renault Kwid facelift has officially broken cover in Brazil, and it brings more than a new bumper. Renault has given the hatchback a completely redone dashboard with a bigger touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster, sold in Evolution, Techno and Outsider trims. None of this is confirmed for India, and Renault India gave the Kwid here an update in July 2026, so this Brazilian version is not an immediate change for our market.
What Changed on the 2027 Kwid
Outside, the updated Kwid gets a new front bumper, a glossy black grille, LED daytime running lights placed higher on the face, new tail lamps, a shark fin roof antenna and 14 inch wheels, with the Outsider trim adding dual tone paint and diamond cut alloys.
Inside is where the bigger jump sits: a 7 inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 10.1 inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a new steering wheel. Renault has added four airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a start-stop system, none of which are confirmed for the version sold in India.
Will It Come to India?
Renault has not announced a launch timeline for this Brazilian Kwid in India. Overseas reveals like this typically show where the platform is headed rather than what lands in Indian showrooms on a fixed date, and with an India-specific update already delivered this July, Renault has less reason to rush this one in. Until the company confirms local plans, treat this as a preview rather than something to wait for.
What Current Budget Car Buyers Should Do
If you need a car now, this 2027 reveal changes nothing about what is sitting in Indian showrooms today. The Kwid currently on sale is priced from roughly Rs 4.53 lakh to Rs 5.85 lakh ex-showroom across its Evolution and Climber trims, including CNG options, and Renault claims up to 22.5 kmpl on the automatic petrol.
