Renault Triber Turbo Price And Variant Details

Renault has finally added a turbo-petrol option to the Triber, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 7.84 lakh to Rs 8.99 lakh. The bigger question for existing Triber shoppers is whether the extra Rs 94,000 to Rs 1.11 lakh over the naturally aspirated versions makes sense for the added performance.

Renault Triber Turbo engine and gearbox

The Triber Turbo uses Renault’s HR10 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, also used in the Kiger and Duster 1.0. It produces 100hp and 180Nm, with the higher torque output enabled by a new engine management system. The claimed 0-100kph time is 10.8 seconds.

For now, the turbo version comes only with a 5-speed manual. A CVT automatic is planned for later, so buyers specifically looking for an automatic turbo Triber will have to wait.

Triber Turbo price premium

The turbo version costs noticeably more than the equivalent naturally aspirated Triber. The range starts at Rs 7.84 lakh and tops out at Rs 8.99 lakh, both ex-showroom. Dual-tone paint adds another Rs 21,000.

Triber Turbo features and safety

There are no major exterior design changes apart from the Turbo badge. Inside, it continues with the seven-seat layout and gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control and push-button start.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, hill-start assist, TPMS and Isofix mounts. Renault has also retuned the ABS, ESC and traction control for the turbo version. The Triber has previously scored four stars in Global NCAP testing.
