BYD Seal U plug-in hybrid SUV spotted range-testing in India

The BYD Seal U plug-in hybrid SUV has been spotted range-testing in India ahead of its launch this year. The vehicle measures 4,775mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,670mm in height, with a 2,765mm wheelbase. The BYD Seal U is powered by BYD's 'DM-i Super' plug-in hybrid system, which includes a 1.5-litre direct injection, turbo-petrol engine, an electric motor, a starter-generator, and a battery pack. The vehicle's combined output can go up to 323hp and 550Nm, with an electric-only range of up to 126km using an 18.3kWh battery pack. BYD is expected to price the Seal U plug-in hybrid SUV around Rs 45-50 lakh, ex-showroom.
