Jetour T2 India Launch Delayed To December 2026: What To Know

JSW Motors has reportedly pushed the India debut of its first own-brand SUV, expected to be based on the Jetour T2, from the earlier Diwali timeline to mid-December 2026. For buyers considering a premium SUV in the Rs 30 lakh to Rs 50 lakh range, the delay also means the India-spec version may arrive after the latest T2 facelift has already gone on sale in China.

Jetour T2 facelift gets a cleaner design

The facelift has been launched in China as the Traveller 7, with both petrol and plug-in hybrid versions. It gets circular headlights, a full-width LED strip across the grille, a body-coloured bumper and wheel arches, plus revised rear styling. The off-road lights and tow hooks seen on the current version have been removed.

Inside, the changes are more extensive. The T2 facelift retains the 15.6-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument display, while adding physical AC controls, a rotary selector for seven drive modes, dual phone holders with Qi charging, 256-colour ambient lighting and a 23-speaker surround sound system. Its infotainment hardware now uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip, 24 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

Jetour T2 PHEV range reaches 173 km

The PHEV continues with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, but its hybrid transmission changes to a single-speed unit. Battery choices are 26.61 kWh and 45.12 kWh, with claimed electric ranges of 108 km and 173 km respectively. Combined CLTC range is stated at up to 1,400 km.

For the petrol versions, the base T2 uses a 1.5-litre engine producing 184 PS and 290 Nm with a 7-speed DCT and FWD. Other petrol variants use a 2.0-litre engine producing 254 PS and 390 Nm with AWD, while the top version gets an 8-speed automatic.

JSW Combat launch now expected in December

The India-bound SUV is expected to use the Combat name and has already been spotted testing locally. It is expected to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it is not confirmed whether India will receive all the latest facelift changes seen in China.
