Jeep Wrangler JL-2A price and October order details explained

Jeep has introduced the Wrangler JL-2A as a tribute to the 1945 Willys CJ-2A, with the package focused on retro styling rather than mechanical changes. For Indian Wrangler buyers, the interesting part is how much of this heritage-themed treatment could matter when the standard SUV already sits at a premium price.

JL-2A package gets Willys details

The JL-2A package costs $4,995, or about Rs 4.78 lakh, and orders are due to open in October. It is offered in both two-door and four-door formats, with the two-door getting Gobi as standard while the four-door can be specified in colours including ’41 Olive Drab Green, Bright White, Sting Gray, Ghost and Joose.

Inside the Wrangler JL-2A

The cabin gets Nappa Heritage Tan leather seats, a Nappa PUR instrument-panel mid-bolster and Bison Brown leather across the centre console, lower dashboard and doors. Desert Orange stitching ties the cabin treatment to the exterior wheels, while a Willys-Overland satin chrome shifter medallion adds another period reference.

There is also a Convenience Group with remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and universal garage door opener. A front TrailCam with an integrated washer is included as well.

No mechanical change to Wrangler JL-2A

The important point for buyers is that this is not a mechanical upgrade. The JL-2A retains the Wrangler's existing off-road hardware, including electronic locking front and rear differentials, electronic sway-bar disconnect and the Rock-Trac HD 4x4 system. The package is therefore mainly about appearance, cabin detailing and heritage value.

For context, the current Wrangler sold in India has a published ex-showroom range of approximately Rs 64.58 lakh to Rs 70.80 lakh. Published on-road figures are Rs 78.66 lakh to Rs 84.11 lakh in Mumbai and Rs 81.10 lakh to Rs 87.31 lakh in Hyderabad.
