Best-Selling Sedans in India – August 2026: Dzire Dominates With 56% Share, Amaze Sales Double

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire led India's sedan market in August 2026 with 18,418 units, accounting for 56% of the segment. The Dzire's sales increased 11.6% year-on-year from 16,509 units in August 2025. The Hyundai Aura was the second best-selling sedan in August 2026 with 6,685 units, representing a 25.3% year-on-year growth and a 20.3% segment share. The Honda Amaze recorded 3,512 units in August 2026, a 100.3% increase from 1,753 units in August 2025, and held a 10.7% market share. The Volkswagen Virtus maintained its position as India's top-selling midsize sedan with 1,301 units, despite a 22.3% year-on-year decline. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire's dominance in the Indian sedan market is evident, with the Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze following closely behind.
