Toyota August 2026 sales breakdown and model wise dispatches

Toyota recorded total dispatches of 28,410 units in August 2026, marking a 3 percent year-on-year decline from the 29,302 units dispatched in August 2025. Monthly volumes also dipped by 7 percent compared to the 30,516 units recorded in July 2026. While utility vehicles and hybrids continue to drive the brand's numbers, a sharp drop in hatchback dispatches weighed heavily on the overall tally.

Innova and Hycross monthly performance

The combined Innova and Hycross range remained the brand's largest volume contributor at 8,963 units, though this was down 4 percent from 9,304 units a year earlier and 10 percent lower than July's 9,976 units. The Hyryder followed closely as the second highest contributor with 8,234 units, registering a 10 percent annual decline from 9,100 units. However, the Hyryder bounced back sequentially with a 15 percent increase over July's numbers, bringing the combined share of these two major model lines to 60.5 percent of total company dispatches.

Fortuner and Taisor growth numbers

The Fortuner dispatched 3,504 units in August 2026, translating into a solid 40 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 2,508 units recorded in August 2025. The SUV also added a 10 percent increase over July's 3,189 units. Meanwhile, the Taisor recorded 2,863 units, showing a 7 percent annual improvement and a 16 percent sequential jump over July's 2,470 units. The Rumion MPV stood at 2,396 units, though its massive percentage jump against the previous year stems from an exceptionally low comparison base.

Glanza and niche model dispatches

• Glanza recorded 1,480 units, dropping 71 percent year-on-year from 5,102 units
• Ebella dispatches reached 372 units, improving 31 percent from July numbers
• Hilux registered 285 units, showing steady annual growth
• Camry posted 195 units, while Vellfire dispatches stood at 79 units
• LC300 recorded 39 units compared to 15 units a year earlier
