Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition price and new features

Suzuki has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition at Rs 19.90 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, while the updated standard Hayabusa costs Rs 18.99 lakh. That puts the Special Edition at a Rs 91,000 premium, so the main question for buyers is whether its extra styling and equipment are worth paying for.

Hayabusa Special Edition price

The Special Edition gets Pearl Vigor Blue paint, special decals, a different wheel finish and a three-dimensional Suzuki emblem. It also gets a Special Edition emblem on the fuel tank, anodised muffler-end and heat-guard parts, plus a single-seat cowl as standard.

Both versions are available through Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships. The standard Hayabusa also gets three new colour combinations, giving buyers more choice without changing the basic motorcycle.

What changes on the Hayabusa

The biggest updates are not just cosmetic. Both versions now use a lighter and more compact ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, while the electronics have also been revised.

Hayabusa engine and hardware

The Hayabusa continues with its 1,340cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled inline-four engine. The motorcycle uses a twin-spar aluminium frame, adjustable KYB inverted front forks and Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema callipers with twin 320mm full-floating discs.

The claimed mileage for the petrol manual Hayabusa is 18.0 kmpl. Published owner ratings give the model 4.3/5 from 90 owner ratings, which gives prospective buyers some additional ownership context beyond the specification sheet.

Which Hayabusa colours are new?

The updated standard Hayabusa is available in Candy Daring Red/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray/Candy Burnt Gold and Pearl Vigor Blue/Pearl Brilliant White. The Special Edition is the one to look at if the exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue finish and added detailing matter more than keeping the purchase price lower.
