Suzuki Small Electric Car Sky EV Japan Launch Price JPY 1.55m (Rs 9.50 L)

Suzuki has launched its first electric passenger kei car, the 'e Sky', in Japan. The e-Sky is available in two trims, A and X, priced at JPY 2.12 million and JPY 2.79 million respectively, but with a CEV subsidy, the base model is priced at JPY 1.55 million (Rs 9.50 lakh). The e-Sky has a range of 310 km (WLTC) and is equipped with a 26 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. It measures 3,395 mm in length and 1,475 mm in width. The base model of the e-Sky is priced at JPY 1.55 million (Rs 9.50 lakh) after a CEV subsidy, while the higher-spec models are priced between JPY 2.39 million and JPY 2.49 million (Rs 14.64 lakh to Rs 15.25 lakh). Suzuki e-Sky will be available in showrooms in Japan by November 16, and the company plans to sell around 1,000 units per month in the Japanese market.
